Anderson rallies past Loras in four sets

Anderson took down Loras 3-1 (18-25, 25-19, 26-24, 27-25) on September 5, 2026, at Sherman Gymnasium in Jacksonville, IL, to move to 4-1 on the season.

Anderson held the edge where it mattered most — the attack. The Ravens finished with 52 kills on a .156 hitting percentage compared to Loras's 39 kills at .110, a gap that widened as the match progressed. Anderson's efficiency climbed from .067 in the opening set to .211 and .233 in sets two and three, while Loras hovered between .077 and .139 throughout. Aces and blocks finished level at 10 and 7 apiece, and both teams dug deep defensively — Loras posting 80 digs to Anderson's 84.

Jayda Lanham led all players with 22 kills, adding 22 digs and a .237 hitting percentage for a commanding all-around performance. Lacy Rathbun contributed 11 kills and three block assists, while setter Blythe Young ran the offense with 43 assists and four service aces. For Loras, Cydney Tath paced the Duhawks with 12 kills and 12 digs, and Alyssa Purvis was efficient off the bench, hitting .615 on 13 attempts.

Anderson erased a 6-4 deficit in set one with a 6-0 run to flip the momentum early, a sign of the resilience they'd show across the afternoon. The fourth set saw the teams trade leads repeatedly before Young's consecutive service aces at 22-22 gave Anderson the decisive edge.

The win moves Anderson to 4-1 overall.
