Aurora swept Elmhurst 3-0 (25-14, 25-9, 25-16) on Friday evening at Thornton Gymnasium in Aurora, Ill., moving to 4-1 on the season while Elmhurst drops to 1-2.

The efficiency gap told the story from start to finish. Aurora hit .473 on the night compared to Elmhurst's .031, piling up 47 kills on just four errors in 91 attempts. The Spartan block was a factor as well, with Aurora recording four blocks to Elmhurst's one, and the Eagles struggled to find clean swings all evening — posting a .000 or below attack percentage in two of three sets. Aurora's 50 digs to Elmhurst's 34 reflected how one-sided the defensive exchange became as well.

Rosie Karl led all players with 18 kills on a remarkable .750 hitting percentage, while Izabella Kowalczyk added 12 kills at .435\. Trinity Nelson orchestrated the offense with 38 assists and chipped in six digs. For Elmhurst, Katie Hurta carried the offensive load with eight kills, and libero Elayna Ammerman anchored the back row with 13 digs.

In Set 3, Aurora reeled off a seven-point run from 8-8 to 8-15, a stretch that effectively ended any hope of an Elmhurst comeback.

The win moves Aurora to 4-1 overall as the Spartans open NACC play later this month.
