# College of Saint Benedict tops Elmhurst University, 3-2

Saint Benedict defeated Elmhurst 3-2 on September 11, 2026, at the Clive M. Beck Center in Lexington, Ky., winning by set scores of 25-17, 13-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-13 in front of 238 fans.

The match was closely contested on the stat sheet — Elmhurst actually held the kill and dig edges, posting 62 kills to Saint Benedict's 52 and 88 digs to 72\. The difference came in the service game, where Elmhurst edged CSB 13-10 in aces, but Saint Benedict's attack efficiency in the decisive fifth set (. 138 to Elmhurst's .040) proved to be the margin. CSB's blocking edge — six team blocks to Elmhurst's four — also contributed in key moments late.

Kali Jones led all players with 18 kills, adding four aces and 12 digs for an all-around line that anchored the Saint Benedict offense. Kate Stadum contributed 12 kills on a .300 clip, while Ginny Schuler ran the offense with 24 assists. For Elmhurst, Katie Hurta was the standout performer with 20 kills on a .447 attack percentage, and Elayna Ammerman chipped in 26 digs and five aces out of the back row.

In set two, Elmhurst strung together a 9-0 run from 8-8 to pull away convincingly, one of the more decisive stretches of the match.

The win moves Saint Benedict to 4-3 on the season, while Elmhurst falls to 1-4.
