# Dubuque takes down Saint Mary's (MN) in three sets

Dubuque swept Saint Mary's (MN) 25-14, 25-13, 25-22 on September 19, 2026, at Stoltz Sports Center in Dubuque, Iowa, to move to 11-2 on the season.

The Spartans controlled the match from start to finish, posting a .330 attack percentage against Saint Mary's .082 — a gap that tells most of the story. Dubuque out-killed the Cardinals 38 to 25 and held a significant edge in aces, 11 to 6\. Saint Mary's did hold a slight advantage in blocks (4 to 2) and kept the third set competitive, hitting .167 after going negative in set two (-0.042), but Dubuque's efficiency advantage was consistent and decisive across all three sets. The Spartans also out-dug Saint Mary's 50 to 42.

Delainey Winkel led all players with 15 kills on a .400 hitting percentage and added 8 digs for an all-around effort that anchored the Dubuque offense. Alexis Kammerer complemented her with 30 assists and 5 aces, controlling the Spartan attack efficiently throughout. For Saint Mary's, Kali Olson paced the Cardinals with 7 kills, while Kinlee Grattan contributed 9 digs and 2 aces off the back row.

In the second set, Dubuque opened with a 6-0 run to take early command, a sequence that proved too steep a hole for Saint Mary's to climb out of.

The win moves Dubuque to 11-2 on the season.
