No. 6 Illinois Wesleyan defeated then-No. 16 Wisconsin-Whitewater 3-1 (25-19, 25-16, 23-25, 25-17) on September 16, 2026, at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Illinois, before an attendance of 517.

Illinois Wesleyan finished with a clear edge in kills (63 to 48) and hit .283 as a team compared to Whitewater's .212\. The Titans' efficiency surged in the fourth set, where they posted a .463 attack percentage on 21 kills and just two errors in 41 attempts — their most efficient frame of the night. Whitewater's blocking advantage (7 to 5) was not enough to offset IWU's higher volume and consistency on offense. Both teams finished even in digs with 54 apiece.

Abbie Dix led all players with 17 kills on a .455 clip for Whitewater and added three blocks, while Aubrie Krzus recorded 33 assists and eight digs in support. For Illinois Wesleyan, Carly Whitaker paced the attack with 13 kills on a .522 hitting percentage, and Alex Bardouniotis added 12 kills and two aces, though Alysa Lawton's all-around effort — 23 digs and eight assists — stood out as a stabilizing force in the back row.

In the first set, Illinois Wesleyan erased a 12-5 deficit with a 10-0 run to take a 15-12 lead, ultimately winning the set and carrying that momentum into the second.

The win moves Illinois Wesleyan to 8-1 on the season.
