# University of Dubuque tops University of Wisconsin-Platteville, 3-1

Then-No. 21 University of Dubuque claimed a 3-1 victory over Wisconsin-Platteville on September 23 at Williams Fieldhouse in Platteville, Wis., with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 23-25, 25-18 in front of 217 fans.

Dubuque hit .160 as a team compared to Platteville's .129, a gap that widened decisively in the fourth set when the Spartans posted a .235 attack percentage against Platteville's .022\. The Scots' serving was a meaningful separator: Dubuque tallied six aces to Platteville's two. The Spartans also held the blocking edge, 13 to 8, further limiting Platteville's offensive rhythm across the match.

Delainey Winkel led all players with 19 kills to go along with 13 digs and two aces, accounting for 21.5 total points. Chloe Reiser added 13 kills and 12 digs for a strong all-around effort, while Alexis Kammerer orchestrated the offense with 41 assists. On the Platteville side, Brooklyn Radecke, Bria Johnston, and Kennedy Wenger each reached double-digit kills at 13, 13, and 12, respectively.

Dubuque rattled off a 7-0 run in the first set to stretch a 14-8 lead and effectively put the frame out of reach, setting the tone for the match.

The win moves Dubuque to 12-2 on the season.
